Welcome to your week 5 WPC blog. Was a wierd week last week lets look at wat happened.
LS had a storming match vs CS in the stand out match.
Shock of the week was PFN losing 4-2 to PP. FA also won, beating MP 4-2 in what was a horrable match with 1 member off each team acting like idiots.
A gutsy BNR team gave EPL a run for there money in the end EPL won 4-2. DC and LPL shared the spoils in a 3-3 Score Draw.
We also have a new site http://www.worldpoolchampionship.co.nr/ Also new HA in kev as dave left.
I would also like to welcome the Fun.Predictor to the WPC blog he will do what he does best and do his own fun predictions to counter the serious predictions that I do. This is meant as a bit of fun and to give people a laugh.
Also a big welcome to EPL back in WPC
Ok now to the serious part.
Predictions for Week 5
Match 1
EPL (4-0-0) VS MP (0-2-2)
Date and Time: Monday 25th August @ 6pm
Room: Back to School
Ref: Jason
Week 5 starts with a decent match up here, EPL cam into WPC at 3-0 thanks to 8BS and they carried on with it last week with a 4-2 win against a plucky BNR side. This team is S-T-A-C-K-E-D with the likes of Pool_Charlie. PC is a brilliant player who very rarely makes mistakes, hes one of the people wher ethe only way you can beat him is by grabbing the break and break running him as you cant out safety him at all. They also have ant who is probably the best player on EPL's team and then musti who will usually pick u up the wins. MP have a real problem this week. Ash decided to start crap last week along with spence from FA and that match was always going to be a ugly affair. FA took the win and kept up there record of really getting under MP's skin. This is at the moment turning out to be a awful defence of the WPC title and i cant see them getting the win here.
Score 5-1 EPL
Match 2
FA (2-0-2) VS PFN (1-1-2)
Date and Time: Monday 25th August @ 7pm
Room: Tangerine
Ref: Bev
This has the makings of being a very tight match due to form or a complete and utter joke of a clash between a heavyweight and a featherweight. Obviously it will probably be the earlier of the two as PFN bought out there big guns last match in stu, sean, kev and roger but still lost to a very impressive PP side. PFN if they bring that side again will destroy FA who have looked quite good in recent weeks. FA beat MP last week and i would say loverboy is there best player along with spence but all spence needs to do is chill. FA need to be at there best this week to stand any chance of winning.
Score 5-1 PFN
Match 3
BNR (0-2-2) VS DC (2-1-1)
Date and Time: Tuesday 26th August @ 7pm
Room: Welcome To The Jungle
Ref: Danielle
When DC started this season they went 2-0-0 and I was saying OK this is the team to challenge MP and PFN. But i feel my mind being changed DC lost to LS 2 weeks ago and then drew with LPL last week. Lewis really has to bring his best 6 to the table against BNR who are now starting to get close to winning matches in all interleagues. DC must bring real magic sexxy and lewis must play himself to pull off a win here. BNR under dina could have so easily beat EPL last match but they have enough players who could win if they are playing up to there usual standard ppl like jerm and david and va badass. This is going to be closer than people might think but I will go with the numbers.
Score 4-2 DC
Match 4
LPL (1-2-1) VS CS (0-2-2)
Date and Time: Wednesday 26th August
Room: Logan (Denmark)
Ref: Jane
Well CS have fallen apart in recent weeks against LS and PFN and looka shadow of there former selves as PFN won 5-1 and LS won 6-0. CS must bring there strongest 6 they have and hope LPL come under prepared not enough players or are just havign a crap day. CS are really up against it and Tino will see a possable clean sweep wiping out CS's slim chances of playoffs altogether. Tino, sergio and chex are themost important but I feel Tino could rest some if he has the back up players and take the win very easily.
Score 6-0 LPL
Match 5
MATCH OF THE WEEK
LS (3-1-0) VS PP (2-1-1)
Date and Time: Thursday 27th August
Room: Sweet Dreams
Ref: Kev
Well LS must be getting used to the MATCH OF THE WEEK billing. They are playing unbelievable and they dont look like stopping. They beat CS last week by a country mile 6-0 and with Simon, Bev, tonz and canucklehead in the team watch out for LS winning this championship this season with PFN and MP performing below par and the likes of FA and DC who i think will slip down a little bit in the league. They play PP who are right on there heels, PP beat PFN last week and with marky causing a little bit of confrontation by apparently stalling on the black PP showing they mean bisnuess and IF they beat or Draw with LS EPL may just start to inch away. PP have marky and lilspaky and ms dina mite those 3 match up nicely with LS's 3 of si, tonz and canuck so we are in for a cracking match up here. How will it go? that will be based on 3 things. Can bev play her players right after PP have called. Can PP show up with there strongest 6? and most of all who can hold there nerve on a save/clinch.
I am gonna base my score on that and i have come up with a bold result.
Score 5-1 LS :O
