--Interview with MP captain Chris--

Me: Welcome to WPC season 6. How do you feel about the season thus far and where do you see MP finishing come the end of the regular season?

Chris: Season has only just started but seems to be going steadily, besides the SP withdrawal, but bringing in an unknown EP appears to have been a good choice so far. Its hard to say where we will finish, before season started i set a personal target of top 4, going well at the moment and is certainly do-able.

Me: It certainly is do-able. MP will be at least sitting in the top 4 coming into the 4th week. You have gained quiet a few good players this season so you definately have a very strong team. Could you point out 1 or 2 teams you would consider a threat to MP this season?

Chris: X8B i think should be the main threat this season, they have a good squad that is due a big interleague win, PFN are always there or thereabouts aswell, there is more there that are more than capable of being big threats too, but those 2 are the ones that stand out for me.

Me: Those are 2 competitive teams for sure. I was hoping you would say Freedom and lead me into my next question, although I will just blurt it out there anyway. You played them this week. How did you feel coming into the match and what were you insights at the end when they FF'ed the last 3 games giving you a 6-0 win?

Chris: Freedom are a good team, but it just isnt coming together for them just now in WPC, they find it hard bringing a full team at times, and when they do its often not there best, very rarely see FR at full strength. I was always confident of the win tonight, but not over confident. You come to expect some FF's so i wasnt really surprised. I'd of prefered them to be at full strength, even if the game was to go on and finish 3-3, i like to beat teams that are at thier best, seems kinda worthless getting the win over half a team, the feeling just isnt the same but 3 points is 3 points i guess.

Me: Very positive thinking. I am sure that Petey would have loved to have a full strength team this week but it just didn't see to go well for him. Before we finish this off can you tell me who your key players are and who you see possibly making it into the allstars?

Chris: Pretty hard to pick out a Key Player or 2, everyone in the team is playing their part, and doing it well. Seeing Jordy & Anil at table on matchday always gives me a little lift, but then even with them aside there's Croz & Nick who are also 2 great players, and Shan, Andy, Nish & Trey are all performing well in all interleagues for us aswell, we're very lucky to have such quality players this season and I reckon any of them could go on a streak and make it into Allstars.

Me: Nicely said. Well thank you very much for participating in my first ever interview. I wish you and your team the best this season. Any last words you'd like to put out there for your team or the other teams participating in WPC this season?

Chris: You're welcome, thanks for having me, Also my first time being interviewed. Trey wanted me to mention him so umm Hi Trey, As for the rest of the teams, hope you all do well, have fun and gl in your games =) P.S. Trey really is a nub! if thats ok to put that, im sure he will get a kick out of it lol

Me: Lol no problems. As the Brits would say.. Cheers :)
WPC Week 3 Predictions!

Magic Pool vs Freedom
Monday March 8th
--MATCH OF THE WEEK--

This is going to be one tight match. Two teams who are very strong and have very competitive solid players will face off against each other to prove that they are the better team. Freedom will need Hope, Petey, Ash and BLUE to be completely in form and ready to take on a defensive MP team. MP will need to bring players such as Croz, Shan, Nick, and possibly Nish(if in form) to take on or tie up this match. If WPC was carry Magic Pool would probably steal this match from Freedom. Unfortunately it's not and will be a close call.

As long as Freedom is in form this will be a 3-3 draw.

Deadstrokes vs Pool Fiction
Tuesday, March 9th

What a match. Can Deadstrokes take on the mighty Pool Fiction team? It would be a major blow out for something like that to happen. With players like Miz, Kerry, Jamie and Jeremy PFN should have this match in the bag already. Poolfiction have taken on players from the stronger MIB team and Deadstrokes barely lost to SPS in week 1.

5-1 PFN

**

Money In The Bank vs Simply Pool Souls
Tuesday, March 9th

This should be a pretty good match up, almost as good as the MP vs FR match. Money In The Bank have lost Pommy as captain and some very strong players. Simply Pool Souls have the players to pull off a win here but in order to do so the SPS players need to be in form and ready for anything. With players like Kat, Jason, Guns and Monte(who nearly carried for SPS in the 3v3 cam cup) SPS will most likely go into week 4 with a 2-1 record.

4-2 SPS

**

Evil Poolerz vs Extreme Pool Competitors
Wednesday, March 10th

As long as Jack can bring a full team to the table this week they should pull off a win. I am not too familiar with the EP team but from what I've seen, they don't have strong enough players to take on the EPC team, the only way EP will pull off a win here is if Jack Inc. are not eligible, get dq'ed for some reason, or they just can't bring enough players to the table. I'll give EPC the benefit of the doubt here and say EP will have an unlucky match.

4-2 EPC

**

Straightshots vs Xtreme 8 Ball
Thursday, March 11th

Straightshots have lost a few players but it seems as if they aren't letting that get them down. They lost 4-2 vs PFN last week and one of their players got to the finals of the expo, then on Sunday they defeated DS in the 3v3 cam cup. James and his team have been famous for choking in their games. bang.fail has choked against me, twice. Ben, well he's just Ben. X8B will need to make no mistakes this week to pull off a win, and I don't think they can do that. There will be one or two, ut oh's for X8B as Straightshots scare them and take it to a 6th game for a draw.

3-3

**
Enjoy.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Things are heating up after a very interesting turn of events this week in WPC. Jack, I am calling you out here for a good thumping of MIB's team in W2. Sure it isn't that much of an achievement, MIB's team is a shell of what it was in W1 and will continue the trend through the rest of the season but to your credit you beat them. NOW, I was impressed with EP as stated in my Weekly writeup Monday. EP held their own against a solid FR team, they will not be a pushover this season and that is a change from past seasons. It is common to have a replacement league show up and just trudge along drowning in their own bath water. Thanks Jason for keeping this interesting and not a joke, based on what I saw W2 EP will contend nicely with the bottom 5 in WPC. On with the Preds, you know that is what you come here for :o).
Quote of the week:

"Watch out SS, utter doom is right in your rear view mirror."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MP vs FR
Monday@ 6pm
-------------

This is going to be a very exciting match. FR was shocked W2 vs EP as stated numerous times now but look for them to fight back this week. MP are fairly stacked though with newcomers [Nish, Shan, and Nick (all SS, who knew they would be leaving?) ] and will most likely pull this out in game 6. I really think FR will show their heart and keep this fairly close, Hope has been very solid this season with a sexy 2-0 record. If Petey can bring himself, Hope, Tim , and Ash they just might pull out a tie. Chris will be expecting nothing less than a win here, he wants to separate himself from X8B and this is his key chance.
Outcome:4-2 MP

MIB vs SPS
Monday@ 7pm
----------------

This will be a much more interesting match than I would have thought, MIB again aren't the team I predicted to win WPC6. MIB Rich is a upstanding HA and I would expect nothing less than a 5 man roster going into this match. He has had some misfortunes with Pommy but he will not let that stop MIB from showing with a team this week. Look for Jason to continue his solid play and Heather will put her dancing shoes on ;o). SPS was crushed last week by X8B (yes the score says 4-2 but one match was a DQ that changes the looks a bit) but this match is at their level, look to see SPS pull this out in a fast match.
Outcome:4-2 SPS

DS vs PFN
Tuesday@ 6pm
------------------
Well this will be a boring match :o(, PFN can show with backups and pull this out. I really like DS and I have posted many times that I want them to succeed here. I cant see them hosting PFN and expecting to win this with the players they bring to the table, PFN are just to strong. Michele, bring your big boys or this match will end on a predictable note. Cubby will use some of his backups this week, look for Brian to play among other subs. I probably don't need to post this, it is pretty self explanatory from what you have read thus far...
Outcome:PFN 5-1

EP vs EPC
Wednesday@ 7pm
-----------------
This has the potential of being a very close match. Jack has done what good captains do best, win the easy matches. He breezed through MIB last week and he SHOULD do the same this week. I can see Jack along with st0mp, kontra, and Jason pulling out wins here. Now, the odds all 4 pickup wins in this match are slim and Jacks depth beyond those 4 drop considerably. EP stepping up nicely vs FR will have me question Jacks chances here at picking up a win even though on paper his team is better. I see this finishing in game 6.
Outcome:DRAW 3-3

SS vs X8B
Thursday@ 6pm
---------------
Match of the week, with the dropping of many key players for SS (predicted by me, myself, and I) their resulting W2 match showed the glaring roster hole. I really did think that utter doom was inevitable this season for SS but if you look at who has moved to SS in MLP, you can conceivably assume it will carryover into WPC. SS's holes are now most defiantly filled and X8B is left in dangerous waters. James now has to scrounge up all his main men or the big bad Wolf is going to blow his house down, haha. Key players in Ben, James, and newly acquired Conor B should give them enough to scrounge a tie.
Outcome:DRAW 3-3
