WPC Week 5

Hi all and welcome to WPC week 5! and hasnt the season gone quickly. LPL are now officially the only team to win all 4 matches and if you look at there team I can see them possable going played 13 won 13. We will wait and see of that note.

This last week X8B played the only other team who was yet to be beaten or drawn with in SP. But that changed as 69, spit game and breaking point all won to share the spoils. Spit game and breaking point were both successful save attempts. For SP they draw there first match but hold on to 2nd spot.

Cubby then went on to ref LPL against SS, in what I billed as a shock 5-1 result to SS. I was no where near as LPL started with Cam there new signing losing to sicc.mike, but that was it for SS they were blanked after that. Dios beat Alex no skillz, Tino defeated Craig, who I bet was pissed witht hat one! truuma defeated Nish and Poolz defeat Pas, leaving Ant to wint he dead rubber to rub salt into the wound.

Magic Pool defeated 3 from Cue Masters in a none contest. MP havent really been tested yet and that will come alive this week, it will be interesting.

Ultimate Outlaws went to challenge Lucky Shots and challenged they did. austin open it up for UO and defeated a surprised Tony. Mustang then beat J.D. J.D hasnt had the best start to WPC but I am sure he will come good for the reigning champs and the new captain Tonz. Jeremy then gave LS hope by beating Jack. Licky however put UO on the brink of a big upset as he beat the LS captain Aaron, leaving LS only to secure a draw if they could with seemingly no tonz. Bud was given the first option to have a clinch attempt and he failed against hockstar. This is a Game 6 baby! Wild Thing against Chris's mate Angel and she came good to save LS from a big upset and they come away with there 4th draw of the season.

8 Ball Crushers and Freedom was a very interesting match as there was a dispute for the New ref from SPS. It all came down to a tape that was rightly passed in week 3 but failed in week 4. Smooth Kids tape I am on about here. It would have handed 8BC, soon to be Brit Pool as there merging a 4-2 win. However this was different because the failiure handed Freedom a priceless 3-3 draw with only 5 men. There are a lot of teams struggling this season but I fully expect all the teams we have in now to stay in for the remainder of the season.

SPS got a 6-0 win against True Champs

Before I go to the predictions I have a few other things to say, some to do with pool some nto to do with pool.

The not to do with pool stuff first and if i get yims saying why did we need to know that, i dont care but congrats yims greatly accepted.

Me and Heather will be getting married in February, aslong as it all goes to plan but I am sure it will. We will be getting married in the UK and we cant wait.

Ok im glad i have told everyone who listen to this whenever i do it i have some people who will always listen.

The Pool stuff now... The EXPO has been a big hit this season and with different winners now coming from leagues you wouldnt expect watch for the likes of SPS and LPL to try and take the challenge to SS. I wanna congratulate Daquiet.storm for winning this weeks EXPO, It was SPS's first ever EXPO tourney victory and they are the one team that are getting stronger and stronger.

Lets move onto this weeks very interesting match ups. There are some fantastic matches.

Monday we start with True Champs entertaining Sexy Poolerz in the Intermediate lounge. This match will go one of two ways. SP will run away with it or SP will have a off day and TC will need to make sure they have Cam set up right and can bring 6 to the table. If SP show up the way that they have been lately then the likes of Pete, Snooky, Ste and Co. will totally anilalate True Champs, but if they dont then TC will really need to get to grips and think do you knwo what we can win this. Bryan needs himself, Mike and whoever else is going to play for TC to come with there A games or there screwed. SP coast to a 5-1 win.

Lucky Shots vs 8 Ball Crushers, soon to be Brit Pool with both leagues merging. LS have drew all 4 matches so when you look at both teams, when 8 Ball Crushers shwo up its usually a tight match so a Draw looks the safe bet here, but theres been a few devolopments in the LS team, with Chris re becoming captain and Aaron becoming Co capt, just a swap of positions but chris has the more experience and knows what it is like to lead a team to the title of WPC. LS need Tony, Aaron, Chris and Simon to all be on form and to help LS get to the playoffs. 8 Ball Crusers will becoem a big team from next week but this week theres only going to be one winner and thats LS 4-2

Xtreme 8 Ball have a easy ride if the last 2 weeks on IL are concerned for there opponants in cue Masters. CM havent showed up to IPA or WPC lately, sometimes bringing just one player. Xtreme 8 Ball however with Eric, Ben, James, Adam and some other guy i have forgot his name of look strong and are sitting nicely in the playoff spots at the moment. They should stay there but hey this is a big league with teams that are under performing and teams on there way up like Simply Pool Souls and Straight Shots. Xtreme 8 Ball will take this as CM fail to bring a full quota 4-2

The one tuesday 8pm match is Xtreme Poolerz vs Latino Pool Legends. Cubby vs Ant, well infact Cubby vs LPL. There is no love losss here and I am sure if LPL win Cubby will expect to be sent every tape. To be honest LPL have been in a class of there own. Players like Cam and Dios are only helpingmake sure Ant has 6 to choose from every week. Players like Tino and Ant are the key to LPL, if they play well then LPL play well. For XP they have had a 3-3 draw with LS and a 4-2 defeat to SS, so on that form I am going ot again go against the form book and annoy ant by saying XP will take this as there strong men in Jamie, Ogges and Andy join the party and win! 4-2 XP

The rest of the matches are on Wednesday and start with Money In the Bank against Ultimate Outlaws who in my view are the most improving team in interleagues at the moment. MIB tho have only lost once and that was the hammering from XP. This match will be imprtant for a number of reasons. If MIB can perform to there best then they will beat UO. If UO is as good as they think they are then they should beat MIB. Ultimate Outlaws need there key men to perform and Jordy MUST win. UO is going to win 4-2

The 6 30 kick off is Straight Shots vs Simply Pool Souls will also be pretty interesting with SPS ona high from win 1 and EXPo win in WPC last week. SS are doing ok with Pascal, Chris and Nigel doing pretty well(despite stats). SS will always have a deep roster and will most definately go for the win here. SPS will bring 6, Daquiet and msfitz are the 2 that carry the line in all EXPO's and Monte and KAt have that playoff experience from PLC. This match will be huge for both sides and let go for SPS carrying on the form and winning 4-2.

The last match is now a 6pm kickoff and is Freedom vs Magic Pool, and this will be goodif both teams show, because FR have looked good when at full stregth and Petey and Ash are on form with Sukioo. MP are coming back to good form and this will end up a stale mate.
3-3

GL this week everyone
