Week 6: Things Are Hotting Up

Welcome to Sports Scene and week 6 of 14 and this week is the last week where you can change leagues for this season! There are 4 teams that have not even lost yet! Freedom who sit top and Poolfiction, Simply Pool Souls and Latino Pool Legends all joint second with the same record of 2-3-0 (W-D-L). SPS are the surprising team in there but they have held there own this season and got a very good 3-3 draw last week with Freedom. Freedom must be the slight favourites to win the regular season as half way approaches but Pool Fiction who have a outstandingly good WPC are right on there heels and that is the match of the week this week. LPL face off against a MIB team who are just 3 points off the playoffs and they have a good solid team base in stevie, steven croz and conor. There are far too many Steven's there for my liking! Dead Strokes who made the playoffs last season need some help this season. Last week they showed with just 2 players and that needs to change because DS are a 4th or 5th place team. I think they are better than MIB and 8BC, which brings me onto 8BC and they got the result of the week last week with a great 3-3 draw vs pfn 2 weeks ago but couldn't repeat it going down 4-2 to LPL.

This week is the first key week. FR play PFN and I think there will be a winner in that match so one 100% record will go. Deadstrokes take on Simply Pool Souls who have a shocking record against Chele's team and Latino Pool Legends play Money in the Bank who are really getting it together. The match of the week however is easy.

Match 3: FR vs PFN
Date: Tue, Sep 21
Time: 7pm
Room: Beetle Spot
Ref: Jason

This has 'classic' written all over it as PFN love breaking 100% records. Kerry and Jamie have 6 players playoff eligible already. With players like Jamie, Brock and Andy all playing well Freedom will have to worry. FR however probably wont be too worried as this is by far and away there best season in WPC ever. They lie unbeaten, only SPS drawing 3-3 last week with them has kept them in touch with the chasing pack. PEtey will call upon Trivis(5-0) and and Ben(4-0) to take the match to PFN. If these two lose then FR are in for a very, very long night. PFN need to have there big guns firing here if they do I think they will just edge it.

Score: 4-2 PFN

Match 1: LPL vs MIB
Date: Mon, Sep 20
Time: 6pm
Room: Under Pressure
Ref: Chele

This is also a very interesting match up. Steve has obviously left LPL, leaving Tino to do what he does best captain. MIB under Stevie mainly have got some serious quality into there squad, Conor and Croz being two of them. If MIB show up like last week then they have a serious chance to end LPL's 100% record. LPL wont lay down though players like Saf, Ant and Cam will all be looking to add to there impressive tally already this season. MIB though for me are due a massive win and i think Ant will lose the decider and MIB take it 4-2

Match 2: DS vs SPS
Date: Mon, Sep 20
Time: 7pm
Room: A Face In The Crowd
Ref: Shelle

Just what has gone on with Dead Strokes this season? They showed with two players last week and lost obviously. They play a rejuvenated SPS team who with Rick, Alix and Kat boast very good records this season. DS cant be bad all season its roughly the same team who got to the playoffs last season, there going to come good one week. The Judge aint played at all this season and that should be addressed sharpish because hes a very good player for 98. If DS can show with 6 I will put my neck on the line and call a shock 3-3 draw, i dont think they have enough from what i have seen this season to beat SPS

Match 4: SS vs 8BC
Date: Wed, Sep 22
Time: 6pm
Room: All Mixed Up
Ref: Chuck

Forget all the unbeaten records and who can go top, who is better this season FR or PFN because this match is a big match up. 8BC vs SS matches have been troublesome in UIC but with Chuck reffing this is going to run fine but be MEGA Tasty. Nigel was once the SS Coordinator move to ICA now to 8BC and some SS players go out of there way to stir up trouble, now me and Nigel don't see eye to eye on many things but that never ever happened in SS when he was in charge of the interleagues. Onto the match and SS who are shockingly bad this season need to win to stay in with a chance of the playoffs. If 8BC can pull out a win then they are right back in the race and would be above SS. I think on what I have seen that 8BC are better than SS this season too. 8BC need Rusty and Sean to stand up and be counted and make sure everyone is eligible and got cam right and set up. Nigel should also play as he is better than most give him credit for. SS need to start playing properly and quick or there billing as pre season favourites looks like a joke. This will be feisty and I hope theres no boxing's or nothing but I think there might be

Score: a big 5-1 to 8BC
