Week 2 Predictions

Welcome to another edition of Sports Scene. Week one went rather well with the only wins going to Magic Pool and Straight Shots. Straight Shots looked the best of the teams in WPC week 1 this week. Nigel bought a team consisting of Chelle, Steven and Mally who is formally of Break and Run who are back in WPC now. Magic Pool defeated Ultimate Outlaws in a pretty one sided match up. Magic Pool with Ash, Jane and Mick will have a good seasont his season I feel. My only question would be will they show up each week, if they do then MP will challenge.

Week 1 also saw Dead Strokes and Cue Masters pull out for completely different reasons. DS because I guess of the argument Rick and Roy had, and with Rick being on the WPC admin they pulled out leaving Break and Run to come in to replace them. Cue Masters decided to pull out because they did not want to re schedule there match as BNR was given just 45 minutes notice before the match now I have spoke to verious people and most agree with me some dont. I am new to Head Admin so I will learn from this. Either way Extreme Pool Competitors take Cue MAsters place and there week one match with BNR is to be played on tuesday in week 2 giving BNR and EPC 2 matches in a week.

Week 2 is looking to be a better week than week 1 and I expect a few more wins this week. Teams like PFN, X8B and TPL all should have wont here matches. Pool Fiction found themselves 0-3 down with Ogges, Mattskie and Roger losing. But PFN are strong with saves from Jamie, Tam and Lewis ina match that LPL should have emerged as shock winners. The other big shock was TPL drawing with True Champs. Again TPL finding themselves 3-2 down after TC shocked DK and Trav. Studant jim and Mario doing the damage on that occasion only for yeah you guessed it Pommy to pull out a save to make sure that TPL drew 3 each, things will only get better for both TC and TPL.

Ok lets look at Week 2 in some detail this week. There is ofcourse one extra game and I shall pencil this in to the predictions, now i know each teams rosters I can predict the matches better.

Match 1

Extreme Pool Competitors (Championship) 0-0-0 @ Sexy Poolerz (Championship) 0-1-0

Date and Time: Monday 11 May @ 6pm

Room: Bicycle Race

Welcome to WPC EPC. Your first match of the week is your week 2 match. Confused? No need to be as they play there week 1 match on Tuesday as they came into WPC late. Personally I think they dont have a hope in hells chance of the playoffs this season but Jack will most definatly be out to prove me wrong. The key for Jack will be to get his players eligable as in UIC last week he couldnt do that and had two players DQed against MP. SP on the other hand started WPC week 1 with a creditable draw against Luckyshots, from what I saw though they still have a strong team for WPC this season and will no doubt be in the shake up for WPC playoffs this season. Players like Conners, Ketan, Snooky and Pascal will mean that SP will have too much for a EPC team with players like Jack, Missy and snow_bastard. They only have 5 palyers signed up so they had better get people in before monday or this will be easy for SP

Score: 4-2 SP

Match 2

Xtreme 8 Ball (Premiership) 0-1-0 @ True Pool Legends (Premiership) 0-1-0

Date and Time: Monday 11 May @ 7pm

Room: Blurry

Two same conference matches on the same day! These are important for teams this season. If teams want to make the playoffs they must win there in conference matches in my view. TPL had a lucky week last week to make a 3-3 draw, needing yet again to rely on Pommy to bring home a point. The thing TPL got away with is out of all the matches last week only 2 teams wont he rest were all drawed. TPL have a ver strong team here, and in a captain liek adam he will get the best out of Dk, Trav, Shar and Pommy. Throw Robby and joey into that mix too and suddenly TPL look like they could go on to win the whole season. I knwo a bit early to think about that yet. They play Xtreme 8 Ball this week in a match X8B need to win to take control of the group. In UIC I get slated for predicting X8B to lose but this week they play a team who just plainly has better players in TPL. For X8B to stand a chance they need players like Ben, Justin and Eric to show up and perform. The controversial Kevski must show up too. If these do then I think X8B has a CHANCE but only a chance. I will go for the easy way out on this prediction.

Score 4-2 TPL

Match 3
------------------------------MATCH OF THE WEEK--------------------------
True Champs (Premiership) 0-1-0 @ Latino Pool Legends (Premiership) 0-1-0

Date and Time: Tuesday 12 May @ 6pm

Room: Logan

Match of the week for one reason, A match between these two teams is always CLOSE. This will be the match to watch as LPL are in a little bit of form, but TC are just playing well again and after last weeks draw with TPL, I feel this will go right down to game 6 again. LPL with Recio, Tino, Player Dude and Poolz will lookt o take out TC this week. But Mike has got a good set of interleague players now in itchy Balz, Noob playa and Mario, who I think is there best player at the moment they can easily challenge LPL here this week and will in my opinion. I think LPL will expect to win but True Champs have this canny knack of beating LPL. The captains are going to have call very carefully this week!

Score 4-2 TC
-----------------------------------MATCH OF THE WEEK-------------------------------

Match 4 (from week 1)

Break and Run (Championship) 0-0-0 @ Extreme Pool Competitors (Championship) 0-0-0

Date and Time: Tuesday 12 May @ 7pm

Room: Hangout

This is the re arranged week 1 match and although i have spoke a lot about EPC in the first prediction I did, I wanna talk a bit about BNR int his post. They have got so much better since i left in aquiring old BNR players back like Chip, Runmatic and getting a few new ones in like Trump and Bryan. Add the players who are there all the time like Ross, David and most probably Drew will come in there squad, BNR have the makings of a great team who can possably dominate WPC like they are up there in UIC and MLP. If dina can get a team like MLP to show up for WPC then BNR will have a wonderful season. I cant see EPC competing with BNR's strongest team however and again they must get players signed up so EPC have a full squad to choose from. This will be a tough match but there will only be one winner.

Score: 4-2 BNR

Match 5

Georgia Rebels (Premiership) 0-0-1 @ Pool Fiction (Championship) 0-1-0

Date and Time: Tuesday 12 May @ 7pm

Room: Bad Times

Well things just get easier and easie for GR dont they? Errr no they dont. After MP handed it to them 5-1 they play the reigning champions who only know how to get tot he WPC World Cup bo3 Series. Pool Fiction will need to make sure they take this win and win big because games difference is going to be vital this season I am sure. Ogges will need to get Mattskie, himself and Roger into winning form but he could easily bring 6 more in that are just as good. In reality I think he could bring his D team and beat GR. GR are in there first set of interleagues and like Ultimate Outlaws they will be targeting the one win they will get this season on the UO match up not this match up. This could be stupidly one sided but I honestly hope its not.

Score 6-0 PFN

Match 6

Straight Shots (Championship) 1-0-0 @ Ultimate Outlaws (Premiership) 0-0-1

Date and Time: Wednesday 13 May 6pm

Room: Outlaws Revenge

Straight Shots were fucking awesome last week! Outlaws Revenge nto so much but were still competitive. SS will again be looking for a convincing win to cement there strong WPC season 4 start. Nigel has really got his players dialed in and will look I think to maybe 6 different players from week 1 to give any new blood he has in the SS squad a run out to see if they will be able to face the big boys like LS, TPL, X8B and PFN. UO will be lucky if they get anything out of this match but if SS dont treat them with respect then it wont happen for them. Nigel however I know wont treat them badly he will bring a competitive team and will take the spoils no doubt.

Score: 5-1 SS

Match 7

Magic Pool (Championship) 1-0-0 @ Break and Run (Championship) 0-0-0

Date and Time: Thursday 14 May @ 7pm

Room: Welcome To The Jungle

So Break and Run's second game ina week sees them play the impressive Magic Pool team. If MP can show with 6 and not 5 (you wont win with 5 this week against a far better team than you played last week) then MP have a chance. If BNR show with there strongest team then this would challenge TC vs LPL for Match of the week. I fear that MP wont show with 6. Ash, Mick and Ian are so important for MP this week, thats if Mick shows for this weeks match. Jane will need to call very carefulyl because BNR have the better players and will really wanna win this after a win against EPC in this week 2, will put BNR right up there for the honours this season.

Score: 4-2 BNR

Match 8

Lucky Shots (Pemiership) 0-1-0 @ 8 Ball Crushers (Championship) 0-1-0

Date and Time: Thursday 14 May @ 7pm

Room: Forward Somersault

Lucky Shots last week threw away a winning chance against Sexy Poolerz, Ogges was shocked Tiff played. 8BC last week played X8B and rackem did a good save to make it a 3-3 draw. This will be a very close match up with Jason continuing to give the regulars a chance and no doubt Andrew bringing a strong team. 8BC think they can win WPC this eason, I doubt that but they do have a chance at the playoffs.

Score: 3-3

theres the weekly blog again I hope you all enjoy this weeks.
