WPC Week 3 Predictions

Welcome to WPC season 3, WEEK 3 Sports Scene report. We have one match on monday, a congested 3 matches on Tuesday and two matches on Wednesday. I know by the weekend Ogges will have his predictions up but i will do mine first as obviously i get more right than Ogges :-P. Ok Lets crack on as there aint much to say that I didnt post in my midweek recap of the first 2 weeks.

Match 1

High Timez (2-0-0) @ Dead Strokes (1-1-0)

Date and Time: Monday 1st December @ 7pm

Well Mondays one match sees the impressive High Timez take on the equally impressive Dead Strokes team. This is #1 vs #2 in the Western Conferance, If High Timez can pull out yet another big victory then they would make themselvesone of the big favourites to progress into the playoffs this early in the season, as at 3-0 they would look very strong and comfortable while opening a nice gap between themselves and Dead Strokes. High Timez have been busy over the Thanksgiving week too picking up mickey (IMHIGHER) he was involved in CheapShotz once upon a time. Dead Strokes on the back of there win against a below par Freedom team and for the record was a easy win in the end, they will look to bring High Timez down a peg or two this week. If Dead Strokes win and Straight Shots and Cue Masters Share the spoils and Lucky Shots lose then Dead Strokes and High Timez will start to very slowly inch out a gap and if they can do that early on this season then the rest will always be playing catch up.

The one player in form for High Timez is wv420man and there new captain Chris must play him to stand a chance

The player in form for Dead Strokes is no cost and the drunken bastard who again im sure these 2 will play and i fully expect Rick to play too.

Players out of form

I cant see anyone really badly out of form from the WPC stats so i went and had a look at the League stats and i found for DS roy has played 10 games this week and is 50% and that was the worse i could find for DS.

For High Timez i found that chris is again the weakest player in form i could find so i feel DS might target him anyway.

Chris for HT is captaining HT for first time permantly this week and will be interesting to see if they can keep up there good start to WPC

Match 2

Cue Masters (1-0-0) @ Straight Shots (0-1-1)

Date and Time: Tuesday 2nd December @ 6pm

So first up on tuesday, Cue Masters take on Straight Shots in what should provide us with a thriller. SS have started with one draw and a defeat. Either Steven or Nigel will take over the Captaining of the side while Scortty is away for 3 weeks. I would expect Conners to play in this after getting a transfer from the no longer with us Devine Cuez team who got replaced by Regul8ors. Cue Masters will rely on about seven players all season i think and Lisa will hope they will be available all season which from first look i think they will.Enabled looks a quality player and will need to really win every week to keep Cue Masters in the running for that all important playoff place. Cue Masters will need to prove that there 5-1 thrashing of Magic Pool was no flash in the pan, I dont think it was aflash in the pan however can Straight Shots beat Cue Masters? Sure they can but whoever Captains must make sure they dont take Cue Masters for granted and must field a very very strong Team.

This will go to however wants it the most and i see CM wanting it and SS wanting it so i will go SS in 5, 4-2

Match 3

Pool CueZ (2-0-0) @ Rank Monster0 (2-0-0)

Date and Time: Tuesday 2nd December @ 7pm

Rank Monster play Pool CueZ on Tuesday also and this is where RM and PCZ are joint top on 6 points and yes although Rank Monster came into this with one 6-0 win they played DC in week two and DC didnt show either so they sit pretty on 6 points with a 12-0 record, PCZ however sit with a 10-2 record and this will be very very close. Jose is the ref for this match and i am expecting him to have a very close tight affair to ref. Danielle must play Justin and Pommy along with Crozzy i see these three players as her best players. Rank Monster can match these players though in spc_elite, rage_in_rm and spc_kleanz, in them 3 this will make this one of the best matches this week.

spc_elite is always a good player for Rank Monster and Pommy will need to make sure he has his 'A' game with him for PCZ

Can Sable bring the 'A' game to the table for RM?
Will Crozzy reproduce the form from PLC for TPL in WPC for PCZ?

spc_elite will need to play very well this week as we will see how good Rank Monster really are.

Perry - He has really come on in the past 4 or 5 months and is now a integral part of PCZ's side in WPC.

This is a very close match as the odds suggest so i will go 3-3

Match 4

Latino Pool Legends (0-1-1) @ Regul8ors (0-0-2)

Date and Time: Tuesday 2nd December @ 7pm

The last match of a hectic night in WPC on Tuesday is the long awaited return of Regul8ors to WPC which is now a non snooker league and have no players signed up yet and this is Ogges's match up this week they play the champions of season 2 and the big under performers of WPC season 3 Latino Pool Legends. Ogges will ahve his predictions up this weekend, LPL really need Player_Dude, Chex, Tino and pool_fanatic to bring there 'A' game this week as this is a game they can grab by the scruff of the neck and take a much needed WIN to keep them in the conferance at this early stage of the season.

Well not key men etc as i dont know enough about Regs yet so 5-1 LPL

Match 5

Lucky Shots (1-0-1) @ Freedom (0-0-1)

Wednesday see Lucky Shots play Freedom, Ash will want to get himself, Petey and Corey will need to be playing very well to beat a Lucky Shots team who beat Straight Shots and was the perfect tonic to get over losing to High Timez, they beat SS with no Simon, Raymie or Jeremy but will they play those three this week? We will see.

Players in form

Corey for Freedom will always be tough and Lucky Shots know him well.
Chris for Lucky Shots will no doubt be there and again look for a important win hes is very good at getting.

Ash for Freedom will he be able to match up his players to whoever Lucky Shots pick?
Jose - Jose is a good player and i think will be in Lucky Shots team for quite a bit this season will he do well lets see!

----------------------------MATCH OF THE WEEK!-----------------------

The grand Finally to WPC week 3 and WOW what a grand finale this is! The old Sexy Poolerz Captain Ross really stirred this match up saying that SP was going to and i quote 'easily beat PFN' however hes now gone after arguments with the hierarchy and we have king in the Captains Hotseat now. On a honest level they now have the better captain in my eyes! Its Kev against King and this will be extremely interesting in how this can go. PFN will i think field Roger and RyRy as they were the Stand out players from week 2. Cubby and Jamie should be included too as PFN will look to stack this team up and with Stu playing this season aswell they are looking menacing. Sexy Poolerz wont lie down though and King says ' We will win WPC easy ' he has a good solid team at Sexy Poolerz and i see likes of Ketan, Pool.chicky, Danny and King himself having to really play well here as Pool Fiction i feel have the game and the desire thanks to ROss to take this.

Danny for SP he will be vital as will Ketan if he plays and opens.
Roger and RyRy just keep putting the results out there and pulling off the wins

I have not seen Pool.Chicky play for a while and if she does PFN will look to target her.
Will Jamie be rusty or not if he plays?

For Poolfiction it will have to be Roger and RyRy cause i feel these two are playing exceptionallly well
